Do you or have you worked on offshore wind farm projects as an Offshore Environment & Consent Manager.

If the answer is yes and you are currently immediately to start a new role, working for one of our Global Renewable Energy clients then we would like to hear from you. Our client is looking for an individual to start this 15.5-month freelance contract role from the 17th September 2018 up until 31st December 2019 with the possibility to extend further thereafter. The hours of work will be 8hrs a day, 5 days a week, and travelling approx. 8 days a month on average should be expected.

The role:

Supporting the Consents Manager working on one of the client's offshore wind farm projects as it progresses through the construction phase. The UK Consents Execution & Operations Team sits within the Environment & Consent UK department focusing on activities relating to discharging consenting requirements and obtaining new planning permissions, ensuring compliance during construction and managing contractors as required for the environmental works during the construction phase of the projects.
Responsibilities:
  • To ensure preparation of documents to discharge requirements are undertaken to programme and budget and that sufficient consultation has been carried out with external and internal stakeholders to obtain approval.
  • To prepare scope of work for any surveys or monitoring required pre-or during construction, tender work and manage the successful contractors in their undertaking of the tasks.
  • Report to the Consents Project Manager and work across the offshore construction area to offer input as seemed necessary via consultant with the Consents Project Manager and relevant package managers.
  • You will be required to keep up to date on all consenting policy, guidance and key stakeholder initiatives. To include engagement with the client's strategic staff and ensure that wider industry lessons learned are applied across the project.
Qualifications:
  • Must have industry experience with discharging consent conditions, preferably requirements associated with a Development Consent Order.
  • Degree preferably in environmental science, planning law or similar.
  • Have experience of working within the offshore wind sector, this is not essential but would be an advantage.
Special Provisions:

The Consultant must have his/her own PC with MS Office software and must be in possession of an i-phone 4S, 5C, 5S, 6 or 6+ or a Windows Phone 8.1.
The Consultant must have his/her own PPE equipment
