• Salary: £300.00 per day
• Mandatory Skills:Cisco Routing/Switches/Nexus core app/Firewall, ISR Routers, CSR routers in AWS,
• Start Date: Immediate
• Duration: 6 months+
Must have worked in network support teams operating in ITIL framework
Key responsibilities:
To provide support and maintenance for the following infrastructure components, which have been deemed critical for the customer operation
• Cisco Routing
• ISR Routers
• CSR Routers in AWS
• Dynamic VPN
• Cisco Switching
• Cisco Nexus Core Appliances
• Cisco 3800 and 2900 Series Edge Appliances
• Cisco Security
• ASA / Meraki MX Firewall Appliances
• Virtual ASA and Firepower appliances in AWS
• Cisco Meraki Wireless Network
• NetApp Storage on premise and in AWS
• Aruba ClearPass
• Solarwinds Monitoring
• IT Support Services Agreement
• Monthly proactive health optimisation checks - as minor configuration changes
• Security patches, dot release and major platform updates.
• Support wrap around existing vendor support arrangements, managing support tickets with vendors from identification to fault resolution
• ITIL based priorities for all call handling.
• P1 - High (4-hour response)
• P2 - Standard (next business day response)
• P3 - Low (within 5 business days' response)
Key Skills/Knowledge:
• Solid background in network administration and architecture
• In-depth understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols (e.g. BGP, OSPF)
• Proficient with access control models and network security
• Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring and analysis tools (e.g. SolarWinds network tools)
• Solid understanding of network operating systems (JUNOS, Cisco IOS)
• ITIL or ITSM certifications preferred
