Description

Network Consulting Engineer required to join a team focusing on Migrations for customers covering Enterprise, Datacentre and Service Provider technologies in the UK. We need a creative problem solver, comfortable with challenging the status quo and rapidly responding to escalated issues. With a seasoned mix of broad and deep networking knowledge and specific area expertise, as well as excellent Customer Relationship Management skills, you're well positioned to become a trusted advisor capable of building solid, long-term relationships with customers. Work location will be based out of Krakow, Poland and will require 2-3 days on site in UK. The position may require short term travel within the European Union (and also sometimes outside).

Required Skills:

  • Experience on at least 3 product lines like CRS-1/CRS-3/CRS-X, GSR 12000, 7600, ASR9K/ASR1K a must.
  • Working knowledge and experience BGP, OSPF, ISIS, IP/MPLS, QoS, MPLS Traffic Engineering, Multicast.
  • Hands-on experience in Installation, Configuration and troubleshooting and/or Network Solution designing of Cisco Routers and Switches.
  • Experience with at least 3 product lines like Catalyst
  • Knowledge of Virtualization (VMWare, Openstack, Tail-f) technologies is desirable
  • Experience with at least two product lines - Nexus 7K/5K/2K/9K
  • Strong hands-on experience in Scripting with Tcl/Expect, Python Java and Perl is desirable
  • Executing Infrastructure migration projects and migration windows.
  • 5+ years' experience in network engineering or telecommunications support environment.
  • CCIE R&S/SP desired
  • Must have hands-on experience of 5-7 years on Cisco (CSCO) products.
  • Must have at least one competitor platform knowledge - Alcatel Lucent (ALU) or Juniper (JNPR) A good communications skill is a must. Must have a demonstrated ability to relate to customer representatives at various levels. Must have good technical writing skills and have experience in writing test and implementation/Migration plans. Skills and experience in working independently. Strong interpersonal and teamwork needed.

Working Arrangements:

  • Ability to work in the European Union (EU Citizen) since activities maybe required on-site at customer locations, and datacenters.
  • Ability to work unsupervised, and at flexible hours (some work may require evenings and weekends, for which compensation time will be given
