Cisco UCS Server Engineer - UCS/VMWare/Openstack
Start: ASAP
Duration: 6 months + extensions
Location: London and home working 3 days a week
Pay rate to candidate: up to £550 per day depending upon experience
Responsibilities:
Our client a global Datacentre and Cloud provider requires a Cisco UCS Server Engineer with a blend of experience across Redhat, CentOS, Cisco UCS, OpenStack and VMWare to be responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware, software related to data centre infrastructure.
The team is responsible for the Development & Production environments which house Linux and Windows Servers. The environment consists of physical and virtual Servers across multiple data centres.
Duties
- Build a platform with Linux, VMware, Cisco UCS, and Openstack for the NFVi UCS OpenStack project
- Racking and Stacking of Servers for both the NFVi UCS OpenStack Project and FedRamp as needed
- Installs new, or rebuilds existing Servers, configuring hardware, operating systems, applications and storage in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements
