Product Support Engineer - Junior - Intermediate - Contract role - Livingston, Scotland - 6- 12 months
You will be part of a team working to deliver complex systems to capture operational data from rotating equipment and deliver important, actionable information to operators and maintenance managers.
Key Job responsibilities
- Analysis of installed sensors and system performance
- Proactive tuning of sensor configuration
- First level diagnosis of customer field issues and implementation of corrective actions
- Interface with cellular network providers to ensure efficient cost base for system operation
- Initiate requests for functional enhancements based on field data analysis
- Monitor sensor energy consumption and act on any issues
- Assist with validation trials, deploying new software and analysing field performance
- Keep statistics on field failure modes; feedback to DFMEA
- Be the receiver of system performance alarms and act to resolve
Job requirements
- University degree (Preferred, Field of Study: Engineering, Computer Science or Information Systems)
- 2 - 10 years of experience in a product development environment
- Experience in delivering results in a changing environment
- Ability to juggle multiple competing priorities
- Willingness to travel to support project activities
Preferred, not required
- Familiarity with Microsoft PowerBI
- Use of Minitab (or similar) to provide statistical analysis
- Experience with cloud based sensor systems
