Safety Data - Pharmacovigilance System Manager (m/f)

Main tasks:
- Responsible for the management of defined batches of reports containing safety information in Merck's Global Safety database ARISg in accordance to defined procedures and conventions
- Triage of incoming information to categorize the report, the capturing of the information from the received source file in the database fields, coding of medical terms and medicinal products, writing of a narrative to summarize the report, the identification of missing information in the report (initiation of request for follow-up) and ensuring integrity and consistency of data against source document by performing quality control and appropriate corrections
- The activity of quality control is performed not only on cases processed by the team internally, but will also be provided as a sample quality check on cases processed by external service providers
- Furthermore you will support the creation of key performance indicator to measure the quality of processed information
Main qualifications
- Medical or scientific background, degree as health care professional is a plus
- Solid experience in pharmacovigilance
- Proficient skills in the usage of safety database tools (ARISg preferred) with experience in coding with medical dictionaries (e.g. MedDRA, WHO ART) and MS Office
- Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English (including medical terminology) is required, a good knowledge of German is an advantage
- Diligent, structured, transparent working method, customer-oriented communication and teamwork are your strengths
