Essential Functions:
-
Work in close collaboration with the Customer to determine and agree how SON will be integrated into the Network
-
Follow the SON Platform's operation in customer networks and analyze performance and operational status
-
Identify and resolve problems with SON cluster in OS, configuration or hardware issues
-
Perform upgrades and migrations of the SON cluster by means of hardware and software
-
Manage technical relationship with the Customer
-
Provide Knowledge Transfer of the Cisco SON solution to the customer
-
Provide training to selected customer staff members
Other Functions
-
Perform Optimization of LTE, UMTS, CDMA and EvDO networks to assess performance, and where required, improve Key Performance Indicators (KPI's)

May performs RF performance activities independently, according to project plan; analyze system performance problems such as Pilot pollution, dropped calls, dropped connections, handoff failures and interference issues
- Research RF engineering solutions to ensure the required coverage parameters are met; define required engineering related skill-sets to meet these parameters; ensure available tools will meet requirements; implement solutions which meet required parameters
- Interact with customer on weekly basis from start to the end of the project to track progress of deliverables until completion of project and recommend parameter changes to improve performance and prepare status reports
Work Environment/Physical Demands:

Work will be performed in an office environment in Mexico City

Extensive and intricate work with a computer to resolve complex network issues

Extensive use of computerized software tools and programs

Required Education/Experience and Competencies:
-
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering with emphasis in Telecommunications or, equivalent technical degree is required
- Experienced network engineer with extensive knowledge of IP, MPLS LAN/WAN design and deployment
- Extensive knowledge of L2 and L3 routing and switching design and implementation, troubleshooting etc
- Experience of using, Mongo, Debian Linux, Cisco Switches
- Experienced in System Acceptance Testing
- Hands on experience in OSS and SNMP protocol integration

Excellent understanding of Radio Network optimization of LTE, WCDMA GSM and CDMA networks

Knowledge of LTE/3G network architecture as well as ecosystem elements - OSS, RNC, Node B, Femtocell

Proficiency with layer 3 messaging analysis
-
Strong understanding for different vendors like Ericsson, Nokia, ALU, Samsung
-
Tool-based knowledge required for designing wireless networks, ATOL, Planet, Roof View, Agilent, etc

Understanding of RF emissions safety, compliance and safety regulations
-
Cisco Certification, CCNA or better is an asset
-
Knowledge of the Ansible IT automation engine to automate cloud provisioning, configuration management and application deployment

Experienced in System Acceptance Testing, Mongo dtatbase, Debian Linux
-
Hands on experience in OSS and SNMP protocol integration
Desired Skills:
- Experience in a Wireless Environment - Probably gained with a vendor or mobile operator
- Knowledge of LTE/3G network architecture as well as ecosystem elements - OSS, RNC, Node B, Femto
- Cisco Certification an asset
- Knowledge on Ansible
