Job Title: Sr. Technology Consultant
Location: Columbia, SC
Duration: 12 Months (Potential Hire - Long Term Need)
Responsibilities:
- Define the baseline Image for Workstation OS, applications, group policies and security configurations/settings, mainly focused on Microsoft OS and Office products.
- Provide expertise for tools/processes to deployment areas for automation
- Define/implement patching & OS update rollout process
- Takes ownership for guiding the future of Microsoft core products (OS/Office) in the enterprise for world class user experience.
- Guided/implemented Windows Workstation OS roadmaps/delivery in enterprise setup involving workstations into the thousands and across multiple domains
- Hands on experience with balancing security/compliance with customization of OS, apps and browser technologies.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Microsoft deployment toolkit (MDT), GPO administration, SCCM and/or BigFix
- Scripting skills in PowerShell, VBScript or other languages used in OS automation
- Knowledge of a variety of information technology products and solutions
- Excellent research, customer service, verbal and written communication, and presentation skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Good judgment
- Ability to work and communicate effectively with all levels of the IT organization
Preferred Skills:
- Experience supporting: Multiple browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Edge etc), Microsoft office products, O/S images with multiple types & levels of hardware.
- Managing OS images/baseline in highly regulated environment following STIG requirements
- Microsoft certifications or accreditations for Windows 10 image/delivery
- Microsoft Office deployment (On premises or Cloud based)
