Description

Cisco Trainer - Latina - Italy - 12mths + NATO Secret Cleared.

  • Preparing and delivering theoretical and practical training on Voice and Unified Communications technologies, including all assigned services and associated capabilities or systems.
  • Applying NATO and NCI Agency Education and Training policies, standards and guidelines towards successful training delivery.
  • Performing advanced analysis and troubleshooting on assigned training systems to ensure readiness for complex network protocols employed with NATO Communication Services.
  • Managing, operating, and maintaining the assigned training systems and classroom equipment to include integration of Unified Communication and Collaboration Services training assigned with Core Enterprise Service and Transmission Services training assigned to other sections
  • Performing and maintaining inventory of and accounting for assigned training systems and classroom/office equipment.
  • Recommending and verifying changes in assigned training material, training systems or classroom life cycle configuration to enhance the student experience.
  • Supporting engineers from other NCI Agency Service Lines for updates and upgrades on assigned training systems.
  • Supporting training support engineers and the Section Head implementing major changes and updates of assigned course material and related supporting documentation.
  • Supporting team members through collaborative actions to enhance the student experience.
  • Performing corrective actions, under direction of the Section Head, to support Incident Management for assigned systems.
  • Contributing to recommendations to Continued Service Improvement, and/or procurement processes for Operations and Maintenance (O&M) of approved assigned training material, systems, and equipment.
  • Conducting training delivery in a Mobile Training Team (MTT) where required
  • Performing other duties within the NCI Agency's area of business as may be required

Requirements

Required Security Clearance: NATO SECRET

  • Degree in information technology engineering or related discipline and 2 years function-related experience OR Higher secondary education and vocational training at a higher level in a relevant discipline leading to professional certification and a minimum of four years relevant experience
  • Practical Experience in Communication Services of at least 1 year with network protocols employed within NATO Local Area Networks (LAN) and Wide Area Networks (WAN)
  • Up-to-date knowledge of network architectures, LAN/WAN and networking concepts, naming services, internetwork operating systems
  • Experience in field of converged, secure Internet Protocol (IP) networks, with a focus on networking technology
  • Understanding of contemporary Telecommunication technology including TDM, MPLS
  • Valid Cisco Certified Networking Professional (CCNP) Voice plus CIPTV1 or CCNP Collaboration certification
  • Valid Cisco Certified System Instructor (CCSI)
  • CCNA security will be considered an asset
  • Advanced knowledge of military Communication Services
  • Good knowledge of recent technological developments in IT systems and LAN/WAN environments
  • Working experience with recent Cisco networking equipment and voice and video solutions
  • 2+ years' operation and configuration Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), Cisco Unity Connection, (CUC), Cisco Unified Communications Manager Express (CUCME)
  • 2+ years' operation and configuration Cisco Unified Border Element (CUBE)
  • 2+ years' operation and configuration Cisco Telepresence Servers (TPS)
  • Very good knowledge of protocols and standards utilized in VoIP and Unified Communications; SIP, TLS, MGCP, H.323, RTP and Secure RTP (incl. G.711, G.729 codecs), and other similar standards
  • Experience Cisco Unified Communication Servers (UCS)
  • Working experience with recent VMware Technology such as VMware vSphere, ESXi
  • Previous experience with online and blended learning technologies supporting the assigned technologies
  • Working experience with Microsoft Lync or Skype for Business
  • Experience with integrating communications systems with Active Directory and PKI technologies
