Description

Our Client is looking for a Senior Technical Architect. This is initially for a 6 month contract that may well extend. Daily rate is £600 per day. Good environment, nice people to work with and a challenging role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • You will need the ability to define, design and architect solutions for business driven technical implementations.

Key experience:

  • Technical areas which are essential: IBM Middleware solution to include - IBM Integration Broker (IIB), MQ Series, WebSphere Application Server, DB2 database, Datapower security layer, IHS, F5 networking, Business Process monitor (BPM).

  • A detailed technical understanding is not expected of all these products but the ability to architect solutions using this is essential, so you must know the interdependencies and integration processes between these different technical products.
  • Knowledge of the opensource solutions being implemented by banks would be beneficial.
  • They are using apigee for development and then implementing on Red Hat enterprise linux using openshift, Cassandra (database) and apigee. Any knowledge of containerization, Jenkins, git/github is useful.
  • Business Domain knowledge Solid core banking knowledge is very important and any exposure to digital banking solutions will be a big bonus.
  • An appreciation of open banking, what it delivers and PSD2 would be extremely valuable but not essential.

You will also need the following soft skills:

  • Articulate with excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Be a Team player but able to work in isolation and prepared to defend your decisions to the team and higher level sponsors.
