A interesting, innovative client I am working with is in the need for a controls engineer!
The role will consist initially of the following main aspects:
- Assist with functional testing and FATT the following knowledge, skills & experience will be considered essential:
- Familiarity with Omron and ABB PLCs and motion control
- PLC, HMI, Motion Controller programming experience and strong electrical automation/control system knowledge required
- Ability to write and understand FDS/SDS documents
- Auto CAD Electrical, Solidworks Electrical or EPlan experience desirable
- Control panels and automation system design for offshore heave compensated hoist units
- Develop PLC and motion control software
- Commission and test control systems and software
- Provide written technical reports and other documentation as required by customers and certification bodies
- Create logic and flow diagrams for programme design, programming, commissioning and test
- Experienced individuals with the ability to work on their own initiative and be able to demonstrate strong internal and stakeholder management skills.
The role will be contract based 6-10 months
Rate is negotiable depending on experience
