Office 365 Administrator/IT/Insurance/Powershell/Cloud

Our client, a leading London based insurer has a requirement for a Office 365 Administrator to join their IT programme. The ideal candidate will have extensive O365 Administration experience and will have advanced experience of Powershell. they will have SME knowledge of O365 migrations and will come from an IT background.

The Business:

The Identity and access mgmt. team provides global engineering and operational support for the Active Directory infrastructure as well as user/computer identity related processes and functions including Microsoft 365. The Identity and access mgmt. team is responsible for the availability, security, and performance of a multiple Active Directory Forest environments and associated functions including O365 services. As the team that maintains a core infrastructure service, the team must collaborate with a number of business segments and technical groups to maintain a stable environment.

The Role:

O365 Administrator. In this position, the successful candidate must demonstrate enterprise-level ability to support an environment and associated services in a large dynamic, global environment. Design, implement and support Office 365 and Azure AD and related technologies including but not limited to, Active Directory and Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS), Directory Synchronization, Azure AD. The main role for this position will be initially to support the operational aspects of the environment with a goal to move into engineering support for any or all of the O365 related functions.

Major Accountabilities:

  • Design, implement and support O365 and related technologies.
  • Active Directory/ADFS/Azure AD synchronization and mgmt.
  • Primary O365 administrator including global administrator role, licensing administration, support and portal management.
  • Provides subject matter expertise for the migration efforts
  • Support ticket resolution and acts as escalation point for Tier 1 and 2 service desk support.
  • Create/Maintain and Enhance Team Processes and Documentation
  • Active Directory Windows Server Related Functional Support for GPO, DNS, DHCP, PKI, DFS and Other Domain Relevant Services.
  • The candidate must have the ability to work independently as part of a global team while partnering with application owners, technical business units, data center services vendors and other diverse areas within IT in an ongoing basis.

The Requirements:

  • BS/BA degree in a relevant Business or Information Technology area;
  • 8+ years working with Microsoft Products
  • 5+ years Active Directory Support experience.
  • 5+ years of support experience with Windows 2012 and above
  • 3+ years of significant Cloud Engineering experience with Office 365
  • Advanced Level experience with PowerShell, and/or Shell Scripting capabilities
  • Intermediate level experience with implementing and supporting Microsoft Azure cloud technologies
  • Identity management platforms such as FIM/MIM is a plus
  • Solid understanding of underlying hardware components (storage, networking, etc.)
  • Positive team-first attitude with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must possess sound analytical and problem solving capabilities
