Description

The IT Architect ensures the coherence and sustainability of the overall IT solutions and systems:
according to the enterprise strategy and with regard to technology evolution considering internal and external constraints (risk, cost, delay, ) in line with architectural practices, rules and principles of the within the Group.

Activities

  • Participate in and advise on studies, projects and assets concerning the elaboration/evolution of their architecture (concerning internal development as well as package solutions), in line with the enterprise strategy.
  • Support and control the implementation of the architectural rules and decisions, before and after installation in production
  • Define, document and maintain the reference architecture, always keeping simplification in mind
  • Active participation in the architectural committees
  • Communication of current and target architecture, rules and good practice
  • Stay in touch with technology evolutions, incorporating them in the company architecture where appropriate

Deliverables

  • Project architecture, asset architecture, reference architecture
  • IT architecture strategy, city plans
  • Application portfolio strategies
  • Application diagrams, system maps, service interfaces, technical interfaces
  • Architectural studies, architectural principles
  • Experience with architectural modelling.
  • Analysis and definition of application architectures.

Scope

  • The scope is limited to a particular domain or project or technical context

Technologies

Functional infrastructure architecture experience in large organisations with knowledge about:

  • Preferable knowledge with Middleware technologies (MQ, CFT and Web Infrastructure).
  • Authentication, Access management (AD, LDAP), Password vault,
  • Windows Operating system and associated Microsoft products.
  • Virtualisation engines (VMWare),
  • Network principles & segmentation (VLAN, Firewall, etc.),
  • Cloud services
