Are you looking for a new opportunity? As we have a role for a 34kV SAP for one of our leading renewable energy clients. We are looking for an individual who can start this role from 3rd December 2018 up until 30th June 2019 with the possibility to extend further thereafter. This is an offshore role so full valid GWO and HUET certifications are a MUST. Whilst offshore the client will provide accommodate onboard vessel or flotel.The role:
You will be working alongside the SCADA team and will cover all SCADA Works in the UK, therefore, you must expect a fair amount of travelling working on different sites.
Responsibilities:
- To define safety procedures for electrical matters.
- Implement a permit system for Electrical Safety Rules.
- To Coordinate MV/HV/LV commissioning activities through the project construction stages.
- To advise operationally on HV electrical installation to WTG, offshore substations and both HV submarines and onshore cables.
- Oversee safe commissioning of grid connections, onshore substations and associated MV/HV/LV plant and equipment.
- To oversee all MV/HV/LV electrical operational activities to ensure safety, security and integrity of the HV network.
- Proactively manage, coordinate and communicate between all parties to ensure the process works effectively.
- Must have several years of commissioning experience within a high voltage electrical field, offshore and onshore would be preferable.
- Electrical engineer or have worked in a similar role.
- Minimum 5 years. professional experience within Offshore Wind Farm Industry.
- Must have full valid GWO certifications and HUET and 34kV SAP.
The Consultant must have his/her own PC with MS Office software and must be in possession of an i-phone 4S, 5C, 5S, 6 or 6+ or a Windows Phone 8.1 together with his/her own PPE equipment.
