Description

The Senior Active Directory Designer required to provide support, implementation, and design services for Microsoft Active Directory and Windows-based systems across the enterprise, including directory and identity management solutions.

You should be able to resolve and appropriately completes assigned cases and change requests and act as an escalation for support issues. You will Apply new solutions through research and collaboration with the team and determine the course of action for new application initiatives. Implements new software solutions as required by the business. The core infrastructure technology duties include enterprise Microsoft Active Directory and Windows file services architecture creation and management, global system security and policy configuration, and top-level design support for enterprise AD services.

This role requires an in-depth knowledge of the following infrastructures:

  • Active Directory, Federation, Windows Server R2 & Sever 2016,
  • Windows security, AD Proxy,
  • Virtual Directory solutions, experience with integrating with VMware product sets,
  • Citrix Xen app and related technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce enterprise-level designs for Active Directory and Windows File Services with integrated DNS for global initiatives following those through to implementation via collaboration with project and support teams.
  • Identify opportunities to innovate, extend and enhance service delivery everywhere possible.
  • Install, configure, deploy Active Directory and third-party software utilities for hardware systems within company operational guidelines.
  • Serves as the point for design and application support and troubleshooting during deployment provides guidance and direction in a resolution of escalated issues and/or complex production, application or system problems.
  • Verify the integrity and availability of all AD-related hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying delivery completion.
  • Create and maintain system design documentation for domain technologies, including installation, configuration, and system handover to support teams.
  • Improve existing processes through solutions to recurring problems and enhancements to existing solutions or documentation.

  • ADFS and SAML authentication (required solution for BT/EE integration in overlapping IP Domain space)
  • Backup strategy for 2016 platform
  • Microsoft Red Forest implementation
  • Deployment of highly secured greenfield NFVi Domain
  • VDI Group Policy modelling
  • DNS PowerShell Scripting
