Description

OSS Engineer (Back Office OSS/NMS, Ericsson, Huawei U2000/CME/PRS Equipment, UNIX, Linux)

OSS Back Office/Integration engineer system administrator of Huawei U2000/CME/PRS equipment

Responsibilities:

Handle and analyze trouble tickets within the SLA, perform change requests
Fault handling and corrective actions
Preventive maintenance activities
Participating in project activities
Implementing and verifying improvements in processes- and work instructions
Verifying and implementing configuration changes.
Execute second level preventive maintenance of network
Resolution of customer complaints
Notify Customer and Update Reports
Service support for Problem and Incident Management
Available to be involved in On-call activities
Other ad-hoc tasks as requested by the manager

Requirements:
3-5 year experience within telecommunication environment
2 years of specific experience as OSS Back Office/Integration engineer system administrator of Huawei U2000/CME/PRS equipment
Strong knowledge of UNIX system administration (Solaris 10)
Good knowledge of Linux system administration (SUSE)
European Union or NATO member citizenship, for later Security Clearance application
Good experience in Huawei support
Able to communicate fluently in English
Technical University degree in Computer science or Telecommunication or similar

Plus:

Strong knowledge of OSS-RC system administration (x86 HW Platform)
2 years of system administration experience on Ericsson's EMA provisioning gateway classing.

As second line support in the Client Network Operation Center, you will be a key player in ensuring the good availability and performance of the NMS network. As a technical referent, you will provide technical support to the others departments as well.
