Description
Templeton & Partners are currently seeking for SQL DBA for 12 months contract in Stockholm Sweden in an English speaking project.
Successful candidate should possess all of the following however if you think are eligible candidate regardless do not hesitate to apply:
Key skills:
The SQL DBA/developer will work in the Application Maintenance team supporting the Rikare application.
- 5-10 years SQL coding minimum required
- must have been a DBA in a previous role
- some .NET coding would be beneficial
- must be expert at tuning and maintain a database
- willing to learn about Funds and the fund industry
- must be a quick problem solver
- Must be able to assess code quality, design standards
- Is typically a person who is informed about the latest standards, and new products on the market
-Agile delivery experience very beneficial
Daily/weekly activities:
Backup of configuration items
Versioning and baseline (project team)
Maintain all dev and test environments (project team)
Clean up activities
Check capacity
Connections from and to Rikare
Database maintenance -archiving
Database maintenance - indices and statistics maintenance
Error checking in logs
Security checks and maintenance
General Performance checks (locking, memory, deadlocks)
