Description
Our client a global telecommunications organisation are looking for a Tier 3 NOC Engineer for a initial 3 months based in ReadingThe candidate will be responsible for the operational in-depth technical expert for a complex and bespoke managed network solution or technology (eg Cisco IPT) and be final escalation point. Act as a key escalation point for Tier 1-2. Troubleshoot, classify and correlate network incidents and problems on Tier 3 level. Write RCA and other reports and assisting the Service Manager. Provide technical and service related training to tier 1 and 2 engineers. Be available to work out of business hours for maintenance or on-call activations
Experience required
Experience in implementing or operating complex IP networks
Excellent understanding of routing and switching technologies or IPT (VoIP)
Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) or equivalent experience
ITIL certification or understanding desired
Basic UNIX skills
