Job Title: Waste Administrator

Rate: £8.67 - £12.73 per hour depending on experience

Location: Harwell, Oxford

Days/Hours: Mon - Friday/7.4 hrs per day

Duration: 5 months

Capita Resourcing is the strategic resourcing business within Capita plc. We are the chosen provider of agency workers and permanent recruitment for the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA) collaborative framework, across nuclear sites and offices UK wide.

Overview of the role:

Waste Administration Support (Decommissioning Programme)

Locations: Magnox's Harwell site, Didcot, Oxfordshire (Main Harwell Site and LETP Land Remediation Offices)

Purpose of Role:

The provision of administrative support to the decommissioning programme at Magnox's Harwell site.

Magnox has a team of eight based in temporary site offices who are responsible for delivery of this work over the next two years. The physical site works are being delivered by several contractors, with approximately 30 of their staff on site each day.

Administrative support is required by the on-site team with the flexibility to also provide additional support to the main site as required by the wider decommissioning function.

The initial focus will be on administration support in relation to waste consignment documentation.

The decommissioning office building, and the LETP Land Remediation offices are approximately one mile apart, and work will be split between these locations depending on demand.

The post holder will need to be able to travel between the two locations possibly more than once per day. The post holder therefore requires a driving licence and their own transport.

Key Duties/Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

Organise and attend meetings for the project teams, preparing and distributing agendas, minutes and action lists as required.

Minute taking from technical meetings will be required, although the meetings can be recorded and assistance from the project teams is readily available.

Production and compilation of compliance records.

Photocopying and filing of waste transfer notes/consignment notes and paperwork.

Use of spreadsheets, use of Microsoft office and printing/compilation of transport consignment documentation.

Use of a maintenance database system, printing out weekly job cards and ensuring that they are completed and closed out in a timely manner.

Maintain effective filing and retrieval systems.

Helping to maintain the department stationary stocks.

Raising requisitions in the company finance system.

Production of visit notices.

Oversight of the security clearance process for contractors.

Provision of high level administrative support within the function including but not limited to organising travel, accommodation and meeting refreshments etc.

Conduct the duties in compliance with company systems and processes.

Comply with the Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality policies, procedures, work instruction and risk assessments.

The post holder will be required to participate during site emergency exercises.

The post holder may be required to undertake specific roles during site emergency exercises

eg Building/Fire warden. Training will be provided where needed.
