Windows Application Manager

An exciting opportunity for an leading organisation based near Groningen, The Netherlands. As application manager third line you are responsible for and supervise changes in the application service Drive. You identify points for improvement for management and availability and realize them. You initiate patches for (functional) disruptions, test new releases, configure and document the application (parts), databases and interfaces and keep busy with the (initial) documentation of projects.

In addition, you are responsible for running technical application intakes and managing the software library for services managed by the Back Office. Finally, you ensure good coordination with the internal and external suppliers, Service Management and Functional management.

The function takes place within a DevOps team in formation, and an active contribution is expected in the further development of this DevOps team. In addition, as a senior you supervise the junior employees in their work.

Windows Application Manager Requirements

  • You have more than 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • You have HBO working and thinking level.
  • You have knowledge of different server platforms, such as Microsoft Windows.
  • You have knowledge of Script languages, such as JavaScript/jQuery and Powershell.
  • You have knowledge of and experience with Linux.
  • You have knowledge of one or more of the following databases: Oracle, and MS SQL Server.
  • You have knowledge of Jboss Application Server.
  • You have knowledge about web services (SOAP/XML).
  • You have knowledge of and experience working in a Scrum and/or DevOps environment.
  • You preferably have knowledge of Java.
  • You are preferably certified for ITIL foundation.
  • You have excellent communication skills and you can work well together.
  • You are customer-oriented and aware of the environment.
  • You have good analytical skills and you are solution-oriented.
  • You can plan and organize well.
  • You have a proactive attitude and perseverance.
  • You have an above-average learning ability.
  • You are prepared to work occasionally in the evenings.
