Description
We are currently recruiting a Engine Development Test Engineer for an initial 6 month contract based in Peterborough.
You need to have previous experience with prototype engine tests or development environments. You will need an engineering degree (HNC or HND) and strong engine development experience.
Your responsibilities will include:
To deliver suitable requirements for the customer, which will involve building, testing and stripping engines.
To support the planning team, and ensure engines meet required tests in advance.
Manage the build or test instructions for the engine and installation or removal, testing, checks and servicing.
To be responsible for the progression of cell and engine issues and communicate this to customer.
Track the mechanical defects or failure and make sure data and failed components are available to be reviewed.
Run data analysis, tracking, and recognition in engine performance and endurance test.
Run Engine strip assessments, and identify concerns and write a technical report.
Drive improvement actions
Update and create engine test procedures
Support facilities improvement projects.
