Description

Endeavour Recruitment has an excellent new opportunity for an MS SQL Server Administrator to work for a large client in Luxembourg. The duration of this role is initially 3 months and the daily all-inclusive rate is €350 euros.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day infrastructure operations
  • Incidents resolution and problems identification
  • Infrastructure monitoring, availability testing and reporting
  • Implements standard changes and service requests
  • Service and customer oriented
  • Documentation management
  • On-call service

Required Skills and Knowledge:

  • 6 years of professional experience relevant to the duties described below, within large-scale Data Centre environments
  • Comfortable with most aspects of service operations involved in the technical needs mentioned below
  • Has a solid understanding of most of the technical aspects and concepts related SQL Server and its environment
  • Solid understanding of the operational organisation of industrialised service delivery
  • Ability to write scripts in some administrative language to automate operations
  • Good ability to communicate with customers and IT colleagues
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Able to work autonomously and be flexible with regards to working hours
  • Microsoft SQL 2005, 2008, 2012 and 2016 on Windows platform
  • Scripting skills (PowerShell for Microsoft SQL)
  • Experience with SQL/T-SQL, procedures, functions
  • Experience with MS-SQL Failover Clustering
  • SQL Server performance tuning
  • Experience in Windows Server installations and performance tuning
  • Experience in Active Directory Topologies
  • Familiar with Storage Back End technologies
