Infrastructure Architect, Oracle WebLogic, Apache Tomcat, Cloud, JBoss, Middleware, VMware, RHEL, UNIX, Windows, Brussels, Belgium.
Date Rate: 510 EUROS per day
Contract: 12 months+
Knowledge Required:
Technical understanding of IT products for every layer in the stack.
Knowledge of most commercial and open source alternatives for the following layers:
- Application frameworks and accelerators (custom vs. packaged);
- Application Servers: Oracle WebLogic, Apache Tomcat, JBoss;
- Middleware and queuing solutions
- Database & storage technologies and platforms: Oracle, NoSQL
- Cloud & Virtualization technologies: VMware
- Operating systems: RHEL, Unix, MS Windows
- Physical Infrastructure: Racks, blades, network;
Technical understanding of the characteristics of application styles and when to apply each: Business Intelligence and Analytics platforms Batch-driven applications; Web applications;
- Rich client, thin server applications;
- Technical understanding of current and upcoming IT trends and how to apply them; Technical understanding of technology areas specific to us:
- Biometric matching and resolution platforms;
- Technical understanding of different aspects of architecture: application, runtime, infrastructure, operations and development architecture and how these need to be applied to meet challenging non-functional requirements (performance, scalability, availability) of a business-critical system with a global users' base.
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience in ICT with at least 2 years of experience infrastructure architect.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
- ability to form strong relationships within a Matrix organization;
- Must be details oriented, analytical, and demonstrate ability to work in ambiguous environment;
- Must be self-directed with proven ability to make mature decisions supported by thorough data analysis;
Languages:
- English proficient
- Preferable 2nd language: French
