Site Engineering Manager/Asset Care & Reliability/Head of Engineering
Interim: 6 - 12 month Contract Competitive Day Rate
Manchester - Global FMCG Manufacturing Group
North West
Reporting to the Group Engineering Manager, you will responsible for all aspects of Engineering and Maintenance on a large manufacturing site covering 26 production lines.
Key responsibilities for the Engineering Manager include;
- Support, coach and effectively manage a team of 18 Multi-Skilled Engineers.
- Meet or exceed targets for the Engineering department including Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE), Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF), and Availability (Av)
- Budgetary control of revenue
- PPM completion rate at or above 80%
- Provide leadership for HSE within the Engineering function and positively influence the progression of a behavioural safety and risk management culture.
- Drive Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM)
- Drive MTBF plans to deliver improving machine reliability
- Develop the continuous improvement culture within Engineering through the effective implementation and use of lean tools and techniques by all Engineers
THE PERSON:
The ideal Engineering Manager will have the following skills and experience;
- Experience in FMCG manufacturing - High Volume Fast paced Production
- Previous management experience in a lean Manufacturing environment
- Excellent knowledge and experience of utilising continuous improvement tools and techniques
- Experience in design and start-up of equipment and installations
- Experience in maintenance management
