My client a large blue chip is looking for a senior PM

SYNOPSIS OF JOB:

  • 10+ years project management experience (leadingprojects) - (7 years experience customer facing in complex projects with e2e delivery)
  • Issue resolution
  • Escalations
  • Can work in autonomous fashion
  • Demonstrated performance (eg they are demonstrating above results)
  • Resolved Language barrier - need to be able to communicate very well
  • Handle Multiple projects concurrently
  • Good working knowledge of large complex IP Addressing, LAN/WAN and Telecommunications networks and associated components, eg CISCO equipment.
  • PMP PMI Certification

This position is part of a team who is responsible for managing Telecom projects to implement customer network solution requirements for new business or changes to the current environment. The Program Manager oversees all current projects within one particular business stream of the customer's organization. The individual maintains the relationship towards individual face-off into the Business Unit's first level management to act as the first point of contact above individual Project Management issues. The seniority of the role requires a solid understanding of the project delivery framework for this particular customer.

MAJOR TASKS:

The work performed by this position generally starts with a signed contract. The major activities include:

  • Project Planning & Management- Overseeing a shared pool of Project Delivery staff providing infrastructure project management and consultancy for projects, which are complex, global and broad in scope and span multiple services or which are related to services which are business specific and supported in companies outsourcing agreement, including the oversight of Service Developments. Project Management includes the end to end delivery across all engaged back offices and external partners until the service(s) is (are) handed over into production.
  • Communication -Hosting steering committee meetings with Senior Management of business unit. Subject of the regular meetings are:
    • Demand management to maintain the right level of resources within the firm
    • Share the overview of all current active projects and act as second level escalation entry point for functional leaders
    • Enhance the regular reporting to provide the customers Management and company Management with regular status on the overall program status
    • Work closely with commercial to identify and facilitate incremental business opportunities

  • Customer Relations -Able to understand customer requirements; deal with difficult/sensitive situations, conflict resolution, associated with technical, business, or personnel situations. Builds partnership relations with support groups and customer while instilling confidence within the customer. Ensure customer understands their responsibility in transition as well as customer concurrence/formal acceptance of deliverables transferring PM responsibilities to steady state
  • Technical Knowledge -Has working knowledge of networking technology to include hardware, software, network management tools, and protocols across LAN, WAN, IP Telephony/Voice, Firewall and Network Management platforms to enable effective communications, problem identification, and manage resolution of issues.
  • Tools -Able to utilize project management methodology and tools (such as Microsoft Project Professional 2010, Visio, Lotus Smart Suite, etc) to define, plan, deliver, and communicate results. Manage Gap Analysis Activities, and knows how to utilize tools/systems to procure required resources like hardware, software, and circuits, Define standard interval durations for network solution & service lines, and work with solution centers to improve cycle times where possible.

Working Hours

  • Normal: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm CET (EMEA) Hrs
  • Note 1: Hours may be adjusted based on the customer working day
  • Note 2: May need occasional PM support on change management windows (weekend)

  • Industry Tools: MS-Sharepoint, MS-Project Professional, MS-Project Server 2010, Microsoft Office Suite
  • IBM Tools: GPS, EFMS, Lotus Notes, IMAGE, eCEPs, BSOMS, PICS,

SKILLS, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE DESIRED:

  • Fluent English language communication skills are required including proficient writing ability.
  • 10+ years experience in project management
  • Good working knowledge of large complex corporate networks, LAN/WAN and Telecommunications networks and associated components, eg CISCO equipment.
  • PMP PMI Certification
  • ITIL Foundation Certification a plus
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office tools and Microsoft Project Professional
  • High performer, self motivator, and team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent customer service, leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Flexible, dependable with strong negotiation skills and ability to multi-task under constrained timelines.
