Cloud Platform Engineer

Description

• Work with customer and end-users to define technical requirements of Cloud Platform Management.
• Determine the implementation guidelines for Immutable Infrastructure deployment process (IP assignment, naming convention, security group formation, etc.,)
• Ability to architect & orchestrate various Application Lifecycle Management tools in Hybrid clouds
• Work with various Application providers to understand the Application architecture and determine the Application deployment in an automation fashion
• Good understanding of Puppet, Terraform, Packer Scripting tools
• Work with Cloud providers (Private & Public) to understand the platform considerations and determine the Automation strategies
• Work with Cloud Management Services support unit to determine how the solution is supported in production and contribute to the service transition execution
• Implement, configure, Deploy and manage Cloud Platform Management solution which will utilize Public/Private cloud services.
• Ability to configure the Automated operation and cloud orchestration services by working with Client organization, vendors and partners to deliver Capgemini Cloud Platform Management solution.
• Develop the automation frameworks and processes that support client's development and operations.
• Build automated workflows executing for defined resource pools, dependency mapping of the platform infrastructure
• Enable Security integration for user and application authentication and authorization and key management
• Build Service Management (Logging, log search, monitoring and metrics) components that can be leveraged for the applications and APIs
• Ensure patch management from a software and OS perspective for the infrastructure
• Participate in change management; perform systems, storage, and network maintenance, apply updates and patches, tuning, resource trending and administration.
• Will ensure that all packaged apps are highly available in the private cloud set up
• Understand client's existing toolsets (Monitoring, ITSM, CMDB, Patch, etc.,) and initiate the workflow to integrate them with Cloud Platform for seamless support.
• Lead a team of Automation engineers and ALM Engineers to implement the systems and overall service.
• Design and contribute to build and deploy automation support (CI/CD).
