Description
Public Sector Resourcing is currently seeking an Insurance Specialist/Expert for an initial 4-5 month contract on behalf of our client in the Public Sector.
Location: Swindon
Purpose and responsibilities of the Role:
- The Insurance Expert will report to the Head of Risk and will work with senior colleagues to establish Insurance requirements.
- To understand the reason for the current arrangements and advising on the optimum future arrangements taking a risk based approach. Evaluate existing cover, understanding rational for current arrangement and advising on the best approach for the future by June 2019 ahead of renewal dates.
- To lead on the review of all current insurance ensuring value for money
- To lead on the re-tendering of Insurance brokers contract. Define level of service and activities require from the Insurance Broker ahead of tender autumn 2019.
- Manage the Tender for Broker service Manage relationship with existing broker
- To develop the insurance principles policy and recommend future management arrangements.
- To review claims handling and recommend future model Reporting Lines
- Review existing claims handling procedures and develop cross claims handling policy and procedures.
- Assist the Head of Risk in developing Insurance Policy
- Analysing of claims and advise on lessons learned
- Create tracking and reporting systems for claims. Establish system for storing Insurance information.
Essential:
Experience in these areas specifically: Travel, motor vehicle, public liability, Maritime, goods in transit.
Highly desirable:
Chartered Institute of Insurance (CII).
