For a project at our client ‘s site, an international bank based in Ticino, Southern Switzerland, we are looking for an experiencedBig Data Administrator - on Linux (6075)
In this role you are responsible for the Big Data platform based on IBM Power Systems and engineering and operating of the platform from a technology point of view.
Your Qualifications:
• 3-5 years working experience as System Engineer with good understanding in Linux administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting
• Deep understanding in xCAT (Extreme Cloud Administration Toolkit) and with automated deployment tools like Ansible or Puppet as well as IBM Power Systems
• Experienced in RHEL system administration (Support Level L1-L3) and KVM virtualization
• Well versed in Shell Scripting as well as Automated Linux deployments and configuration management
• Good knowledge of Network management (Vlan, Bridging) and Storage Management (LVM, Raid, encryption)
• Experienced implementing complex security requirements in the financial industry
• Nice to have: experience with Hadoop and familiarity with specific characteristics of the Hortonworks / Cloudera stack
• Fluent in English
