Description
Currently seeking an ICT Systems Engineer for an initial 9 months contract to be based in Basel - Switzerland for our leading banking client.The candidate is expected to have proven in-depth knowledge and experience with Windows server technologies.
- At least 5 years building, configuring and maintaining Windows Sever Operating systems.
- Windows server technologies including Active Directory, DNS, IIS and File System Security.
- Experience with 2nd and 3rd level troubleshooting of technical issues
- In-depth experience with Designing, Deploying, Configuring and troubleshooting Microsoft SQL Server infrastructures (MSSQL, Analysis Services and Reporting Services) is essential
- Strong understanding of SQL server infrastructure best practices
- Good Understanding of clustering technologies and storage options for databases
- Experience planning, testing, implementing and managing Group Policies for large complex environments.
- Knowledge of Windows security features and experience with administering Windows firewall.
- PowerShell scripting.
- Understanding of how certificates are used in an enterprise
- Knowledge of working with VMware as a hypervisor for virtual machine administration
- Knowledge of Cloud based technologies (MS Azure) is desirable
- At least 2 years' experience with an enterprise backup solution
