Optimus Life Sciences are working with a leading consultancy to help them find an office based Mechanical Engineer to assist with some ongoing work within the petrochemical industry. The current workload is above the resource available and the client have decided to on-board external support.
The role of Senior Mechanical Engineer will ensure that the mechanical equipment installed on the project meets National, International and internal standards and delivers a safe and reliable plant, on time and at cost.
The position will be working mostly with static equipment but will also have some exposure to rotating equipment too. This is an office-based role, with some travelling required to vendor sites. Roughly a quarter of the time will be working on coordination activities - English will be the office language.
Requirements
- Degree in Chemical/Mechanical/Petrochemical/Oil & Gas Engineering, Materials Science or related field or equivalent experience.
- More than 10 years' experience in an Engineering role in Oil and Gas/Petrochemical industry.
- Strong Knowledge of mechanical engineering or process safety engineering or rotating equipment engineering.
- Fluent in English.
