We are currently looking for an Application Engineer specialized in MES in Kaiseraugst (Switzerland) to join our team on client’s side. A great opportunity to work in the Pharma industry with exposure to new technologies, in an international environment.This can be a full-time opportunity for IT freelancers.
The focus of this position is the active support of the ongoing strategic implementation project for a Global MES system. We are looking for someone with a pro-active and solution-driven mindset, who can actively contribute in requirement analysis, functional specification and testing activities to ensure that the solution meets business expectations.
You should also be able to dive into the technical details helping to analyze and to resolve technical issues. Being able to make an active communication and working successfully with a global team is a strong pre-requisite for this position.
In addition, close collaboration is needed to support our (internal) customers in implementing their processes in the MES and to maintain the application including interfaces. The Global MES system will be implemented in a regulated pharmaceutical environment.
Major Accountabilities:
- Execute activities to implement the Global MES system
- Analyze of requirements and work together with the vendor, global MES team and global/local IT teams to specify appropriate technical solutions.
- Support our customers in implementing their processes in the MES
- Become Subject Matter Expert for MES interfaces to other systems
- Analysis and solving of technical issues related to the MES system and/or interfaces
- Execute full end-to-end testing of provided solutions and work together with our testing team located in Poland
- Coordinate and align within the Global MES team and other IT teams involved, but also with the customers
- Deliver agreed project CSV documentation (CSV compliance, accurate content, on-time delivery)
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience in the mentioned area of Application Engineering MES with several years hands on experience in MES systems
- Knowledge about interface technologies (https, IDoc, WebServices, OPC and others)
- Experienced with compliant working e.g. GxP and CSV knowledge
- Strong analytical skills combined with conceptual thinking and structured working style ability to work in a multi-cultural team
- Willing to travel up to 20% to Warsaw, Germany, San Francisco
- Candidates with Pharma experience are highly preferred
- Excellent English communication skills (written and oral), German is a nice to have
