Description
Network EngineerNetwork Engineer urgently required on a contract basis in Reading for a multinational telecommunications company.
You will be responsible for designing and implementing large-scale customer network infrastructure, creating and maintaining necessary documentation, defining the strategy needed to enable delivery of complex projects and providing engineering support to provide high quality services to customers. You will also be 4th level support for Operations as part of the Incident and Problem Management Process.
The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of SND/Cloud Solution and Enterprise WAN solutions (MPLS, Internet, SDWAN, TCP/IP, IPSEC, BGP, QoS, Multicast). In-depth wireless knowledge and experience in Cisco, HP/Aruba is essential. Experience within a telecommunications organisation or an international company would be beneficial.
Technical Skills:
- Cisco CCNP Certification or similar qualification
- Experience with IP Services (DNS, DHCP)
- Knowledge of business processes (ITIL, Project Management)
- Knowledge of multiple vendor products
- MS Office Suite & Application
- Experience designing, deploying and managing at least 3 of the following technologies:
- Cisco (PIX, IPS, routers and switches)
- Juniper (Firewalls, IDP, SSL, VPN, UAC)
- Check Point (Firewalls)
- Sourcefire IDS
- Linux
- Windows
- Solaris SIEM
