Description

With its projects off Le Tréport and Noirmoutier, the consortium has been awarded the government contract to develop and install two offshore wind parks with combined power generating potential of 1,000 MW. The estimated generating capacity of these wind farms should therefore be sufficient to meet the energy needs of 1.5 million consumers. At the cutting edge of innovation, each of these wind farms will have 62 Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy 8 MW wind turbines.
Construction on the €2bn ($2.26bn) project is scheduled to commence in 2019, while commissioning is planned for 2021.

The role requires you to act as a Technical Lead responsible for ensuring cross-project WTG electrical system design for successful completion and implementation of all our offshore wind projects.

Job Description:
Ensure overarching cross-project approach to WTG electrical system design is implemented that recognizes and reflects all interfaces and dependencies
Ensure WTG electrical system design work is undertaken using appropriate methods and is confirmed to be in accordance with applicable standards (e.g. the Grid Code) and project requirements
Management of contracts or sections of contracts related to the design and delivery of WTG electrical systems and equipment
Identify specialist support requirements such as external consultancy/advisory services where specifically required
Management and coordination of internal and external specialist support
Support to prepare and develop technical specifications for all work packages
Provide specialist electrical support to other work packages where requested


Skills / Experience required to perform role:
Master Degree in Electrical Engineering
Between 5 and 10 years of wind energy experience
Direct experience in the realization of the WTG electrical system design of wind farms
Good communication, networking and influencing skills
Ability to work under tight deadlines and in complex partnership arrangements
Strong command of English (Must) and French languages (Good to Have)
