We are currently looking for a Wireless Network Engineer for a 3 months contract in the Hague, Netherlands. Please can you check the specification and let me know if you could be suitable and interested in the position below?

Duration: 3 months plus extension

Location: the Hague, Netherlands

Language: English

SC: Must be Secret/Nato/Security Cleared

Some travel to Belgium may be required

Skills, knowledge, experience required

5 year's relevant practical experience in network engineering and the following technologies:

  • Modern WAN and LAN technologies;
  • Secure layered tunneling, VPNs (including client-based and site-to-site);
  • Common security protocols (HTTPS, SSL and IPsec);
  • Cisco routing and switching devices;
  • DNS and DHCP;
  • Wireless LAN controllers (WLC);
  • Wireless access points (WAP);
  • Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA);
  • Cisco AnyConnect;
  • Demonstrable leadership and management experience of small cross-functional teams;
  • Experience in managing complex IT projects, delivering high availability services, prioritising efforts and mitigating risks

Network and/or wireless certification such as:

  • Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA);
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate Wireless (CCNA Wireless);
  • Certified Wireless Network Administrator (CNWA);


  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP);
  • Cisco Prime;
  • Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE);
  • Cisco Nexus;
  • Dell switching;
  • Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) routing;
  • PRINCE2 Foundation and/or Practitioner;
  • ITIL Foundation and/or Practitioner;
  • Experience in providing support during planning, implementation and acceptance of NATO Core GIS-related activities.

Knowledge of common management tools including:

  • Splunk;
  • Intermapper;
  • CA Spectrum;
  • HP Network Automation (HPNA)


Installing, configuring and commissioning wireless network devices (eg WLC, AP);

Planning, installing, testing and conducting surveys of wireless network installations;

Configuring Nexus and ASA devices;

Controlling security access policies for endpoint devices using Cisco ISE (NAC 801.x);

Upgrading, troubleshooting and managing Cisco access Switches, associated devices and configuration clean-up;

Conducting IT device inventory and housekeeping duties;

Providing remote users access to branch offices using encrypted layer tunneling protocols and VPNs with common authentication methods and security protocols;

Providing Level 2 and Level 3 support within an ITIL Service Delivery management architecture;

Providing project support;

Performing network change and configuration management tasks.
