Description

We are recruiting for a Principal Scientist within Antibody Phage Display. You will be involved in the design and implementation of automation strategies for high-throughput purification of antigens, antibodies, and bi/multispecific antibodies. This is a hands-on lab based role with active involvement of equipment selection and installation as well as training of employees. The company is an exciting new Pharmaceutical company based in Lausanne, who are developing Biologics for Immuno-Oncology.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop efficient purification protocols.
  • Specify, purchase, install and maintain robotic equipment.
  • Write formal technical reports, methods and procedures.
  • Train personnel on use of equipment and methods.
  • Support data and method transfer within/outside the department.
  • Interface with multiple discovery project and matrix teams across the organization.
  • Effectively communicate research progress and opportunities to senior management.
  • Support publications in high-tier journals and present at international meetings.


Requirements:
  • D. in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry or related discipline with demonstrated capabilities in protein purification automation and at least 3 years of relevant experience.
  • MSc with at least 6 years of relevant experience will be considered.
  • Industry experience in antibody purification is preferred.
  • A demonstrated record of laboratory automation and scientific accomplishment.
  • Proven track record in project delivery.
  • Demonstrated technical expertise in protein purification.
  • Strong understanding of analytical biochemistry and experience in protein/antibody characterization techniques (e.g. SDS-PAGE, SEC, IEF, DSC, DSF).
  • Strong knowledge in the operation of AKTA and other chromatography systems.
  • Experience in operating the Unicorn software package.
  • A working knowledge of the repair and maintenance of robotic equipment is desired.
  • Strong capabilities in experimental design, execution and data interpretation.
