DevOps Manager Cloud (m/w/d) | Lower Saxony | 90EU per hour | 1 day remote working | Start date - March 1st | 6 month contractOptimus Search have recently partnered with an agile technology and consulting company based in Lower Saxony.
Due to recent project tender success this client requires a DevOps Engineer with extensive cloud based experience; in either AWS or Azure to join the team for a 6 month contract with their end client.
There is a strong possibility that this contract will be extended due to the amount of work that this client currently has on, there is also the opportunity to have 1 day working remotely.
Job Description
This contract will be a combination of software developer and system administration, where you will be supporting on site with the end customer in Lower Saxony.
- Candidates will be working in a team, ensuring the provision and administration of the infrastructure for deployment and test automation as well as monitoring in line with IT and business requirements.
- As part of continuous integration (CI/CD) you will be designing and creating scripts and overseeing their regular maintenance.
- By integrating automated tests into agile software development and deployment, you will increase the effectiveness of the products and processes.
- You will take on the end-to-end responsibility (E2E) for the provision of software independently.
- You will responsible for the introduction and further development of the latest agile methods of software development and thus ensure the improvement of operational processes.
- You check the implementation of suitable adjustments with applied or alternative open source options and ensure their efficiency.
Requirements
- Good understanding of Kubernetes, Docker and Jenkins
- Fluent German speaker
- Have knowledge of one of the build management tools such as Ant, Maven or Gradle and have worked with version management systems such as SVN, Git or Bitbucket.
- Exposure in using JUnit or Emma in software testing
- Experience in container orchestration with Kubernetes. In container virtualization, you ideally master the handling of LXC / LXD, Docker or CoreOS
- Managed clouds like AWS, Microsoft Azure, GCP or OTC are your usual infrastructure, alternatively you can find your way in private clouds like OpenStack.
