Description

We are currently recruiting for a Quality Assurance Consultant in Reading on a Contract/Perm basis.

The Role involves;
  • Worldwide Travel.
  • Mapping client's current processes and operations against a maturity model, identifying a list of changes that can bring benefits in terms of quality, speed and cost.
  • You will be able to assess the benefits to be achieved against the level of effort, cost and disruption to implement, and enable identification of quick wins.
  • You will be a trusted advisor on all matters related to embedding quality assurance throughout the software lifecycle. As such you will be expected to keep abreast of the latest methodologies and tools that are relevant, including ITIL, Agile and DevOps.
  • You will need to sell your concepts, citing examples of what other organisations have achieved, relating the benefits to the individual stakeholders you will be working with.
  • You will embed quality across the development lifecycle, breaking down traditional barriers that might exist between Development and Testing teams.
  • You will work closely with Programme Management to ensure that the right behavioural changes are achieved, resulting in the client having more robust, industrialised software development and testing processes.
  • You will ensure that the relevant tools to automate and better manage the entire process from requirements gathering, through to release and support are adopted correctly to deliver tangible benefits, and better monitoring and reporting.
  • Strong understanding and experience of software engineering.
  • Experience of implementing ITIL, Agile and DevOps methodologies.
  • Understanding and hands-on knowledge of test methodologies and automation tools.
  • Strong communicator with the ability to quickly build relationships with client stakeholders.
  • Experience of all types of testing across functional and non-functional.

The ideal candidate will have;
  • Minimum of 15 years experience in software development, spanning waterfall to Agile and DevOps models.
  • Minimum 10 years experience of quality programmes across the software development lifecycle.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with Agile / DevOps, delivering using CI/CD.
