Job Description:
a. Upstream Procurement
A team of dedicated Direct Procurement Professionals with two dimensions of tasks: The first
dimension is to act as primary Business Partner to the Business (BA/BUs and/or R&D) to ensure
"early involvement" and to enable Procurement to have a say in "WHAT" and "FROM WHOM". The
second dimension is the "Engine Room" - a group of professional Project Managers that
apply a consistent approach to Project Management and professionally support various areas
within Procurement. Within the Early Involvement Team:
- we act as key contact for business leaders and R&D teams with a focus on the pre-commercial
phase of product life cycle
- Business Partners will forge strong, strategic relationships with the business leaders and R&D
teams to maximize the value of the external supplier network for the long-term
- Specialized Project Managers will support R&D projects, providing supply market expertise and
supplier options early in the process
- Procurement Agents will support the Project Managers in sourcing activities, selection of the
right suppliers, running RfX projects together with Procurement Operations and Category
Management
b. Procurement Operations Instruments & BGE
A team responsible for the execution of Procurement Operations as well as supplier management
responsibilities (negotiating, contracting, and performance management) in alignment with the
Category Management and Upstream team.
Responsibilities:
* Support procurement/sourcing activities ensuring a focus on efficiency, compliance, and the quality of customer service
* Responsibility for not only the sourcing of various materials/components but maintenance and development of relationships with existing suppliers and point of escalation in case of supply and quality issues.
* Maintaining strong information flows back to the Category Management teams in the event of high-value or non-standard requests, opportunities to aggregate demand and generate additional leverage and regular submission of operations data and requirements to develop new strategies.
* Collaborate on an as-needed basis with relevant business support functions (e.g. Accounts Payable) to drive operational efficiencies and maximum value-add to the business.

Skills:
* 3-5y of experience of working in Procurement in a similar environment (Project purchasing, as example development projects) or materials administration (*****)
* Degree as an Industrial management assistant or comparable (*****)
* Additional qualification as a Procurement Specialist (Fachkauffrau/- Mann Einkauf & Logistik IHK, Betriebswirt / Eidg. Dipl. Betriebswirtschafter) or comparable (*****)
* Proven experience of SAP R/3 (*****)
* Business fluency in German and English (written and spoken)
