  • The Test Engineer executes defined test strategy and plans covering E2E solution validation, and supports Customer Acceptance (ATP)
  • The TE documents results & defects if any
  • The TE applies testing processes according to quality policy
  • The TE ensures a reliable and accurate progress status
  • The TE works with customers, supplier and Nokia teams, to support troubleshooting of any product issues detected during E2E validation and/or Customer Acceptance

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensures the solution performs as designed by validation/testing the functionality and by giving the base for a final acceptance by the customer
  • Executes the test cases within customer's environment (lab and/or production, including end user services, management) to ensure that all customer requirements, as defined in the project are covered.
    • Logging and tracking evidence during test execution.
    • Logging details for defects using Customer agreed tools to be used for testing.
    • Providing test reports for status update.
  • Participates proactively on troubleshooting of defects along with tech support engineers
  • Provides initial analysis for the defects, tracks these defects and verifies/tests their resolution in Solution environment
  • Provides daily and weekly crisp and clear reporting of progress, issues and mitigations.
  • Works together with other teams for coordinating test execution (especially disruptive tests) and for the defect's clarification and resolution
  • Writes fault reports based on analysis & troubleshooting, and reports results to the Test Manager
  • Applies detailed methodologies, best practices and processes to ensure deliverables quality, as per the project needs like ALM-QC tool
  • Maintains and develops technical relationship with the customer team or customer facing team to gain trust
  • In case of defect(s), provides logs and detailed information, and ensures retesting and fix verifications follows to closure.

Skills and knowledge -

  • Based on telecom forming, Engineer having primary 5 years' experience, Test Engineer has got the necessary technical background and soft skills to execute integration testing and validation activities for an E2E solution across multiple domains and technologies (overall solution, building blocks, interfaces, call flows, ..). Depending of the project scope, she/he needs to be able to translate results into the impact on the use case for an end-to-end solution in the area of:
    • Traffic Engineering
    • Security
    • Resilience, availability and robustness
    • Management (provisioning, assurance, billing)
    • Integration with Legacy
    • Migration and upgrade procedures
    • Capacity and system behavior under load conditions
  • Fluency in English is required
  • Mobility for business trip
