IT Infrastructure Analyst (Contract)
PLEASE NOTE: This contract falls inside IR35.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support, management and improvement to infrastructure and unified communication systems and ensuring the security and operation of the platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor the infrastructure services and proactively manage the health of the infrastructure components
- Plan and manage implementation of processes and procedures, tools and techniques for monitoring and managing the performance of IT systems and infrastructure services
- Perform hardware and software upgrades to ensure infrastructure systems remain up to date and are reliable
- Maintain and ensure security, confidentiality, integrity and availability of the IT systems and infrastructure services
- Define, document and lead small projects (typically less than six months, with limited budget and interdependency with other projects), alone or with a small team. Lead and support technical implementation of infrastructure project deliverables.
Required Skills/Experience:
Good knowledge in the following areas:
- Virtualisation (Vmware & HyperV) and storage management
- Microsoft Active Directory and Windows Servers, SQL , Office 365 and Exchange online
- Cloud (Azure)
- Microsoft System Centre Suite (SCCM, SCOM, SCSM)
- Network protocols including the configuration of network Routers and Switches, LAN/WAN, wireless access points
- Network and Systems Security
- Web Application Management, Firewall Management and Security
