Job description:IT Infrastructure – Outsourcing Management and System Administrator
Currently providing IT Infrastructure services to several Daimler Legal Entities from Spain and Portugal, such as Mercedes-Benz España, Mercedes-Benz Portugal, Financial Services, Mercedes-Benz Retail, Daimler Group Services Madrid and others as part of the ITI team.
To achieve the above goals and ensure a high level of service I am in close contact with several external service providers from local, central and regional scope with regular meetings to discuss special requests/changes, escalations and verify contract compliance.
Strong technical knowledge of both main IT Infrastructure parts which are Networking and Systems, being able to provide support in case of cross function topics involving specialized networking and system teams.
As part of the job acting in case of critical incidents, it could be also used to manage situations of great pressure and get to the fastest possible resolution.
Major responsibilities:
Overseeing of subcontracted IT Infrastructure services such as Data Center Facilities, Data Center Services (Storage, Backup, Monitoring, Database, Virtualization, Wintel, Middleware), Printing Services, On Site Technical Support among others.
Requests and change management in coordination of the different involved groups (external providers, Daimler central/regional support teams, customers, application owners).
3rd level support for incidents and escalations.
Project Management in different local initiatives (i. e. Print services, Datacenter migration).
Support of the local IT infrastructure including more than 400 servers, 700 databases and around 3.000 users in 20 different locations.
Direct support to central projects such as massive migration of +250 application servers to the SDCE (Sales Data Center Europe), Windows OS rollout…
Implantation and follow-up of needed changes to accomplish the company security requirements, such as policies for administrative access to devices/servers (Radius, Password Vault), vulnerability management (Qualys), security findings resolution, security incident management…
Local and Regional demand management collecting the requirements and needs from the business and translating them into infrastructure elements.
