Description

We are currently looking for a contract 2nd Line Support Engineer for an initial 3 month contract. The role is Inside IR35 and is based in Leeds. We are effectively looking for someone who can function between the Service Desk and the new 3rd party Infrastructure Support company, triaging and fixing where possible, and if beyond skill set, escalating to 3rd party. Would also need to be able to write SOP/WI's such that he/she can shift left into SD, some skills that are currently lacking.

Key skills required:-

  • Windows Server 2003 to 2016 administration
  • Windows 10 detailed troubleshooting
  • DNS & DHCP understanding
  • Active Directory admin to a decent level - JML, GPO and ideally some PS Scripting would come in handy for mass administration
  • VMware vSphere knowledge - powering off/on machines, creating, snapping, modifying VM settings (RAM, Disk, CPU, NIC etc)
  • Kaspersky and WSUS experience a distinct advantage
  • Security certificates - CSR generation, acquiring from vendor and binding to services
  • Understanding of change control - this is a must have
  • Exchange/O365 in a hybrid environment - would be very handy
  • Macmon - would be very handy
