System and Network Engineer - Valenciennes
Morson International are working with a global IT Consultancy who are looking for a System and Network Engineer to join their team in Valenciennes, France. This is an initial 6 month contract where my client is paying 350 Euros a day. This role is required to work onsite from day one.
The System and Network Engineer will:
. Administration and optimization of the existing network infrastructure, in particular the network design (routing/switching).
. Design and further development of the network infrastructure according to the requirements of the forensic areas.
. Monitoring of suspicious network activities and abnormal system access.
. Further development and maintenance of rules for network Firewalls and intrusion detection systems to protect the infrastructure.
. Administration of server infrastructure with a focus on MS Windows and Linux OS in the VMWare VSphere environment.
. Monitoring of suspicious network activity and abnormal system access.
. Optimization of sensitive infrastructure components against unauthorized access and/or misuse.
. Ensure high availability of the test environment.
. Support of the expert team in analysing potential malicious code as well as forensic activities.
. Analysis of the integration of existing information systems.
. Performs other delegated activities related to the technical support.
. Prepares all the required deliverables related to this task, (eg preparatory documents, meetings participation, etc.)
The successful System and Network Engineer will have:
. Minimum 12 years of relevant studies and/or experience after the secondary school.
. Minimum 6 years of IT professional experience in which at least 4 years should be in the relevant role.
. Proven skills and experience of at least 5 years within Back Office support functions, based on ITIL Incident, Problem and Change management process.
. Proven experience of at least 5 years in complex networking systems including Cisco, F5 LTM, DNS, NTP, Brocade, VPN, e-BGP, I-BGP, switching, HP Blades, Azure, VMware Virtualization 6.0 & 6.7 (VMware ESXiVMware vCenter,UM, SRMVmware SRM) and network architectures.
. Proven experience in network administration duties including installations, debugging, maintenance, upgrades, and general support for Cisco, Cisco ASA Firewalls, Juniper, HP, Brocade, and F5 BIG-IP network equipment.
. Experience in maintenance, security, and availability of Storage and SAN infrastructures based on business requirements and adhering to tight operations, security, and procedural models.
. Proven knowledge of at least 5 years, ideally with official certifications, in at least two of the following Microsoft technologies in version 2:
o Microsoft Office suites
o Microsoft Windows Server operating systems
o Microsoft AD DS, AD FS, AD CS, GPO
o Microsoft Office Servers
o Azure AD, Office 365 (Skype for Business, Exchange)
o Powershell
. Manage the Windows Active Directory server and Workstation environment utilizing SCCM, SCOM, WSUS, MDT/WDS and other system management tools.
. Knowledge of relational database systems.
. Proven hands-on experience in:
o Load balancing Switches, L4 to L7 switching
o Wireless network technologies
o Cabling systems (UTP, Fibre Optic)
o Networking solutions for virtual server environments
o IP Telephony solutions and network-related services
. Drafting of network related documentation (Plans, schemas, manuals, reports, etc.
. Ability to understand needs, objectives and constraints of those in other disciplines and functions.
. Ability to cope with fast changing technologies used in application developments.
. Ability to participate in multi-lingual meetings (fluent command of English is necessary, of French is recommendable), ease of communication.
