Description
We are currently seeking the skills and experience of a Technical Support/Migration Engineer for large project based in Birmingham.
3-6 month contract
Start immediately at £225 per day
The role:
- Assist in the configuration of Microsoft 2019 and Linux Red Hat Servers to migrate the existing applications to IP and Domain changes.
- Assistance with implementation - joining Servers to domain, configuring roles, creating folder structures, creating AD groups and applying permissions & copying between one server to another.
- Complete the process of build sheets (including Firewall rules, server speciation and operating systems).
- Working with a third party managed service provider to troubleshoot any issues that may occur during the application migrations.
- Completing system build documentation to capture all data within the infrastructure, thus enabling the BAU support teams to have all information to enable them to support newly transformed services.
- Working with the Database Administrators to help build the new SQL platform as the foundations for the new application stack.
- Assistance with post-implementation support/troubleshooting, working with the current BAU teams with any issues that are seen after switchover.
