For a client of ours in the E-commerce industry we are looking for a Technology Vendor Security Assessment Manager.

Start: ASAP

Location: Amsterdam (temporary from home)

Duration: EOY + possible extension(s)

Job description

The Vendor Security Assessment function provides security assurance from vendors about their data protection, customer, operational and reputational risks.

You will plan the scope of the vendor security assessment program, conduct the review and then classify relevant findings for providing an evaluation on the risk posture of the vendor.

The Vendor Security Assessment Manager also ensures issues are identified and assists the business to agree on the appropriate action plan to mitigate the identified risk.

As part of the ./. merger, you will be also responsible for establishing and implementing the new Global Vendor Security Assessment program.

This is a unique opportunity to define how our client will evaluate the vendors that support operations globally and safely.

Qualifications

  • A few years of Vendor Security Assessment experience and end-to-end life cycle coordination
  • Knowledge and experience in Vendor Security Assessments
  • A capable manager who can develop strategic programs based on business requirements, present solutions, drive agreement and implement to successful completion in a time-constrained context In-depth knowledge of security, program development and execution, partner management and demonstrated ability to deliver balancing speed and financial commitments
  • Ability to analyse requirements and propose a strategy based on research, data, business direction, and industry trends
  • Very good communication and presentation skills
  • Autonomous, proactively identifies risks and proposes solutions

Additional responsibilities

  • Establish and implement the new Global Vendor Security Assessment program
  • Managing a team of security analysts to complete security reviews of vendors Identifying an opportunity for improvement, cost reduction and enhanced operational efficiency across the entity.
  • Staying up-to-date on industry trends with regards to information security, cybersecurity, and vendor assessment practices.
  • Coaching and providing feedback to analysts on the quality of their work
  • Defining and reviewing policies, procedures, KPIs/CPIs and other documentation to ensure they remain updated and relevant
  • Improving the efficiency, quality of output and maintain the controls and questionnaires in line with changes to business requirements, regulations and policies
  • Working with internal departments including Legal, Privacy, Risk and Compliance and Procurement in the process definition, implementation and improvements Fostering a risk-conscious corporate culture by educating collaborators about Policies & Procedures
  • Willingness to travel as required
