Description

Relevant IT experience, such as hands-on IT hardware and software maintenance and installations. Network infrastructure knowledge

An understanding of and insight into the functionality and infrastructure for site solutions

Good knowledge of IT services and ITIL processes (Incident-, Knowledge-, Access-, Problem- and Request Management)

Experienced in common tools related to IT operations (eg monitoring tools, work flows tools, remote execution tools)

Process oriented and organised

Customer oriented, continuously striving for service excellence

You should possess great communication skills, and be fluent in English.

A bit about the role:

As an engineer within our IT practice you'll be instrumental in supporting our teams on a mission of bringing sustainable practices in farming around carbon sequestration. You and your team will design, implement and evolve over time the foundation that is crucial to our success. This is a role that will evolve over time as we mature and grow. Initially the primary focus will be a combination of tactical support for local/remote teams and building out our key systems. Later more of your focus will be directed towards helping us defined and scale our infrastructure. This is a journey of discovery, there is much to learn but together, with you in our team, we can figure it out.

Tasks:

  • Hardware support:

Define and shape the hardware we use, manage stock (track levels, order, stock in, stock out) according to process

Liaising with vendors as required to ensure we maintain appropriate SLAs

Perform purchase and delivery when required according to process

Establish effective asset management tracking

First line of support for maintenance, problem solving and operations of local IT equipment

  • Systems Management:

Design and implement an effective software management solution to Install, Move, Add, Change, and Disposal of relevant software for workstations, notebooks, mobile devices,

Support LAN equipment, printers, telephony, Servers

Troubleshooting networking and software related queries

End User training on workplace solutions according to training material provided

  • Infrastructure support:

Local presence of IT professionals for Incident, Problem, and Request processing (hands and eyes) according to instructions provided in ticket

Support local Production IT infrastructure environment, core processes and systems

Be the SME regarding all site IT matters - Being the visible port of call on IT matters in your locality.

Build, maintain and improve IT knowledge among end-users

Contribute to building and maintaining the IT knowledge database

Act as IT local representative for central IT Services and deliveries according to Agoro IT policies, standards, solutions and governance

Contribute to the global IT practice to help us grow and evolve as an organisation
