We are currently recruiting for an experienced Contract Head of DevOpsto join our successful client taking responsibility for leading their DevOps Team on one of the Europe's largest digital transformation programmes.
The Head of DevOps will work on a large data migration programme taking responsibility for:
- refining and reviewing DevOps capability across the organisation
- AWS and Azure based cloud infrastructure solutions and services delivery
- acting as a gatekeeper of change requests
- defining and articulating build processes and SRE framework engagement
- acting as an SME on Linux based System Administration
- leveraging expertise and experience to provide guidance on all aspects relating to cloud platform health and performance, including organisation, support models and best practice operation
- promoting DevOps methodology across production and development teams
Skills & Experience required
- Software engineering or system admin background
- Jenkins & Terraform
- CI/CD and Automation using Jenkins, GITLAB, Docker, Kubernetes
- AWS & Azure cloud experience
- Experience managing Software teams through numerous and simultaneous project life cycles
- Experience in defining DevOps solutions supporting Big Data programmes (desirable)
- Any experience in Cloudera or Hortonworks will be beneficial
