Skills and Experience:
- Basic Host OS Skills; installing PowerPath and Solution's Enabler - Windows, Sun Solaris, HPUX, IBM AIX, RedHat Linux, ESX VM, adding and removing SAN disk at a host level
- McData SAN Switches - configuration, zoning and troubleshooting host and array connectivity problems
- Running EMC Host Grabs on the above OS types
- Veritas Cluster Manager Host Disk Mirroring
- Host the Scripting and scheduling for BCV split and back-ups
- Agile methodology skill set
- Basic understanding of Oracle Database architecture
- McData SAN Switches - configuration, zoning and troubleshooting host and array connectivity problems.
- Virtualisation on VxBlock
- Strong skills in MS Excel formulas and execution
- Experience working on a complex storage migration programme
The Opportunity:
My client are a managed service provider currently looking to hire a SAN Consultant on a contract basis. You must have experience of Executing SAN migration activities in line with programme objectives. You must have worked previously in the financial or banking industry to be successful for this opportunity and must be able and willing to obtain SC Clearance if successful.
