Description

Harvey Nash's public sector client is currently looking to recruit a Service Desk Analyst to join their team on an initial two month contract. The role will be based in the clients office in Dalkeith. The successful candidate will be required to provide general technical support to the Council's IT infrastructure, in particular installation and support services to desktop computing equipment.

Main Duties:

* build, configure and install computer equipment, including software at customer sites;. investigate and correct desktop software application failures or malfunctions;

* research and retrieve appropriate fixes via the Internet and other support media;. resolve IT issues raised by customers;

* liaise with suppliers to ensure the correct delivery of services/goods purchased by IT;. write system documentation;

* maintain the core internal IT management systems and ensure user and asset procedures are followed;

* provide ad-hoc assistance to the end-user. This role has been deemed inside IR35 by the client, therefore the use of an Umbrella company is required.
