URGENT HIRE- I am partnering with my Global Software client who is currently looking for Senior Oracle & SQL Database Expert to join their team based in Prague on a 12 Month + rolling contract. 100% Remote Role - EU/UK candidates only.
Key Skills and Responsibilities:
- Knowledge of Oracle ASM (Automatic Storage Management) installation, integration, configuration & administration
- Collaborating with the Database team to run, monitor, support the migration to Oracle 19c and upgrades of both Grid Infrastructure and database. The team is responsible for the OS part, Oracle part, and over all architecture of the DBaaS.
- Responsible for Oracle as a Service in 5 Asia countries operating 800 databases on 110 physical and 50 virtual Servers. All running on Enterprise Linux 7.
- Administration and Security management of databases
- Installation, Configuration, and troubleshooting of SQL Server HA solutions
- Experience in designing & administration of Disaster Recovery & High Availability solutions
- Working experience in SQL Server Analytical and Reporting Services
- Good working knowledge of Linux, AIX & Windows Operating Systems alongside backup and restore of databases
Must-Have:
- At least 4 years experience in database services management with min 6 years experience in Oracle/SQL database administration
- Certification in Oracle/SQL database administration is desirable
- Advanced experience of Oracle databases in versions 11, 12 and 19
- Knowledge of Oracle Dataguard MUST: Knowledge of Real Application Cluster (RAC1)
- Database security products
- Oracle Data Integrator (ELT tool)
- DB Migration between Oracle and SQL Server
- MySQL/PostgreSQL/Aurora/MariaDB
- Hadoop
- MSSQL OPTIONAL: Knowledge of Ansible automation eagerness to learn new things and problem-solving skills desirable
- Strong experience installing, configuring, patching & administration of Oracle software versions in a clustered and non-clustered environment
- Experience in patching of Oracle & SQL binaries and databases
- Fluent in English
